The Baratza Sette 270 coffee grinder is one for filter coffee and espresso enthusiasts alike. Breaking away from the former standard, this grinder has a fixed inner burr and a rotating outer burr. Unlike every grinder of its size, the Sette’s revolutionary 40mm steel conical burrs cut grinding time in half, producing 3.5g to 5.5g per second.
Developed over 8 years, the burrs will remain sharp and aligned for many years, as well as retain less ground coffee than competing grinders. Also appearing for the first time from is a gear speed reduction of 19:1 with the grinder’s new super-efficient gear drive system.
The Sette 270’s 30 grind settings can produce coffee grounds for espresso, as well as Chemex. If you’re brewing espresso and want to get it just right, the grinder provides 9 micro-adjustment settings to help you achieve that perfect grind size.
The LED display allows users to program 3 dosing settings, down to a tenth of a second. You can even grind right into your coffee brewer, thanks to the convertible holding mechanism.
